Boone, Iowa | You are allowed 12.5% over on axles. I would assume you have to start from the legal weight you have been allowed to haul, figuring in the interior bridge. I am guessing you can legally haul around 76,000 lbs. Figuring 12.5% of this, you can haul 85,500. No one can haul over 90,000 lbs. without a permit. I would double check with DOT to see if I am figuring this correctly.
