We run 7 mph with a 8 row head on a JD 660s. My neighbor runs 8 mph with a 670s. In ne KS we are normally picking 150 bu. corn at 15% moisture. In the good bottom ground we can get 200, but then we would probably be running about 6 mph there. Back to my original question, how good of a job these rolls do at higher speeds?
Id say Busted Knuckles answered your question; some very rudimentary knowledge of the laws of physics should tell you that it's not going to work to swell. What the other guys are trying to tell you, is go bigger and slow down, if you desire to process the stalks better. Until you are willing to wrap your head around that concept, you are going to continue your quest for something that doesn't exist. Sorry, pretty sure that's not what you wanted to hear.
