SW IA | Southwest IA here. We use the Agriplastic EXL (largest size). Calves are on full milk for 42 days, then just one bottle till 49 days. Use commercial milk replacer. Day 3-21 and extra electrolye bottle mid morning. We moved away from barns (old hog barns and hoop) to the hutches a year ago. Saving 20 calves per month and treatment costs have decreased. Colostrum, clean air and dry bedding are essential. | |
