The USDA has very modest export expectations for '14/15 especially in light of our last year's 1917 million bu. I guess they figure the cheaper it is the less they will buy.
As for soybeans we shipped 1.88 mmt (69 million bu) and sold another 2.16 million tonnes (79 million bu.). I guess somebody thinks the price of beans is Ok. After all if you know you'll need the beans and you can buy them today for little over $9 physical or futures why take a chance on Brazil getting planted and harvested when they are right here waiting to be loaded.
