I took the metal cover off and found the issue.
There is a shaft that comes up from the control (pressure regulator/controller) then a short double female connector to the actual knob or controller.
This double female unit is a joke! 4" piece of 1/4" rubber hose with 2 hose clamps. Why on earth mother deere did not make one end a male hex end, and the other end a female so you could slip it up and off if you needed to work. Yet it is secure enough to do the job.
