Somewhat, there are plenty "here" who act or do what I consider vile and immoral, but will defend their religion and the bible to the bitter end

I also think if you subscribe to the "faith and hope" to guide you is beyond naïve, to just stupid, your saying the wishes or whims of religion is more important than your OWN ability to think and reason, it's that way of thinking that brought us many or the atrocities' done in the "name" of religion
