...I don't think it can hurt between a ground eyelet and the aluminum...and yes it will probably prevent corrosion for a while. There are also better things...Like a product called "NoAlox" for aluminum wire connections in heavy industrial wiring. I think it contains an anti corrosion additive that dielectric may not. In copper or brass plated connectors..I can't see why dielectric wouldn't be just as good as anything.
