It may not be very environmentally friendly, but our d-i-l uses the styrofoam containers like what you get a take-out meal from a restaurant. We get them at Sam's, and one of the big packages (100 containers, I think) lasts us pretty much a planting and harvesting season. They work really well for what we do here. She and I both have one of the big oblong insulated Thirty-One bags with the zipper in the top...... the bag will tote 6 meals in the styrofoam containers, so it works out perfectly to deal out meals wherever the guys are working. Many times, there will only be 1 or 2 guys in each location. (As an aside......I don't know what I did before I got that big ol' zippered insulated bag. It does duty in lots of different situations. Especially love it for hauling home frozen goods from the grocery store in warmer weather.)
