sw ontario | Most "corn belt" planters have no fertilizer attachments on them probably because of size/acres needed to be done . Now spreading P & K in fall is as good as putting it down in 2 x2 band with planter? If you spring spread P & K can that crop make good use of it as agronomist said broadcast spreading in spring would really not help that crop just build up fertility? We now put some pop up in row and used to do dry 2 x2 band and thinking about going back to dry bandinding . Also we are in high precipitation area and just spreading in fall on surface do we rixk losing much P or K. TIA | |
