Ludington/Manistee MI area | Old timer once told me it doesn't need to emerge just germinate in the fall. If ground was dry and it is far from that wouldn't bat an eye at planting into the first week of November. I have planted after opening day(November 15th) and had a crop. Couple years ago planted a small field after corn in early November didn't look any worse than piece next to it that was planted a month earlier neither where on good wheat ground. |
