Subject: RE: Update and question - Songs for churches

Central Nebraska

I don't think so.  We started out using a lot of songs out of our hymnals and our office secretary would spend a morning every week creating a power point for each song.  It took several months to convince her that we did not need her to do that any longer.  Quite often we would just search for the song in the database and edit it if it didn't match.  We also use SongSelect which allows us to search for and download content we don't already have/own.  I've transitioned from being the media guy for the past 5-7 years to playing bass guitar and singing 2-3 times per month but I don't think we have had to fully type up a song in many years.  SongSelect costs a few hundred per year for a subscription.  Us musicians use it too so we always have access to the latest songs for practicing.
