If oil crash's there WILL be a reason,like 2008 or back in the 70's

Remember the "Peak Oil" guys ? Like 2008 or back in the 70's
Our local "Peak Corn" corn has all gone MIA.

$200-300 crude oil has just about the same chances of $12-15 corn.
YES I saw $15 corn in print in 2008 AND $300 crude oil.

So is it really different this time around ? ? ?
