For a good number years a forecast for some kind of rain event out beyond 36 hours is highly speculative.
The amount of precipitation is at best a wild guess. At least HERE.
The amount is very dependant on micro climate conditions.
Probably we all have seen it dump on one side of the farm and sprinkle on another part of the farm.
