I saw some of that 19mm corn when we visited the Mesa Verde ruins in SW Colorado. They had found it in a cave. Except it was not 7000 years old, it was only something like 800 years old.

Hard to believe people survived on crops like that. But I guess they didn't really survive all that well. Average lifespan was what, 25 years?
