| Seems like the HP printers we have in the office are OK with using off-brand toners. They will tell you when you install the cartridge it is not a genuine HP toner but otherwise treats it as if it were one. However... I am not a fan of using cheap toners because well, they basically are cheaply made and can potentially ruin a printer. I've seen some spill toner all over printers and no matter how well you try to clean it out it's still somewhere in the printer and causing problems or gets on expensive parts such as the fuser or transfer belt and ruins them. I always say use cheap toners with caution, sometimes the damage they can cause could cost you more than what you saved by buying them | |
