Take Ebola which by some people's 'beliefs' would have been created by their god so their 'free will' would allow them to catch it.
Longer lifespans came from humans using science to keep us healthier longer with better nutrition and knowledge to fix things that go wrong.
I doubt evolution has had much to do with lengthening our lifespan unless you credit evolutionary pressures that gave us the intelligence to learn how to live better and longer but that happened a long tine ago.
At present evolution is probably building a lot things into our genetic pool because modern medicine allows people to survive and reproduce who would not have been able to do so in the past.
If modern medicine was removed today there would be a large die off of the human population and many problems with reproduction.
There has ben no 'god' noticeably involved in any of this. | |
