Nate, you are lucky your gallbladder lasted until you were 50. I had to have mine out at 22. I am 60 now and back then they did it the old fashion way with a 7 inch incision and it hurt like heck. It happens to females earlier then guys I am told. It was from pregnancy. I remember all the time when I was pregnant with my first child that I had this "heart burn". I lasted for a month and a half after a c-section and ended up in the hospital with a horrible gallbladder attack. Waited until the baby was 3 months old before I had the surgery. Had to be away from my baby for a whole week at that time too.

Just wait until your joints all start to go, that is another story.
