Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | There's never any guarantees for profit in any business that has a chance for rewards. It amazes me the number of people on this site that think if they can't pencil out a guarantee they just won't participate or the world is coming to an end. I've had a lot of years where I din't know if I could scrounge up a profit or not and some years I did not but things average out and it has turned out OK.
This is a business that if you don't have some optimism you might as well not be in. Who knows what could happen in the next year or so. Yields could go way above your APH or prices could move up a dollar or two or both. I would hate to be the one to miss out on those opportunities. If only one or the other happens your in good shape. |
