east central MN | I will disagree with povertypoint. I run my jerseys on 3quatrs twice a day feeding right along with my holstiens. I feed heifers and bulls this way from about week 2 on up. It's a but more money in replacer but I cab get them (jerseys) to 340lbs and the sale barn in 4 months. Keep them dry, healthy, and in a barn or hutch with good ventilation and they will do well for you. Also I've gotten the most money for the jerseys putting them on craigslist and selling them one at a time to people who only want to finish a few steers
