Pawnee,gage county, neb
Nothing good will ever come out of this situation, I myself witnessed land that had been in my family for 100+ years sold at public auction 3 years ago that I farmed for 20+ years, even had an attorney draw up the irrevocable trust for my uncle who had a stroke & was then in a nursing home rest of his life, the trust clearly stated that the trustee had the power to sell the land to whoever he wanted to & at what ever price the trustee deemed reasonable without a appraisal required, my uncles wish was for me to buy the land at a price considerably below market value, well the beneficiaries of the trust were my kids, my sisters kids & my cousins kids, & it got UGLY, after spending 6 figures on legal fees & feeling confident that the terms of the trust would be upheld we were shocked when the judge ordered the land be sold at public auction, we ended up purchasing 260 of the 550 acres but it was hard to see the rest get new owners, & family dinners & events are now no longer
