You don't do any computer work when Land levelling unless you want to use third party software like Opti Surface ( not free ). Trimble Field Level 2 is strictly on FMX display. No need to buy Farm Works Surface unless you will also install tile drainage.

You can survey the whole field or parts of the field and then use your FMX to calculate the best slope using Autoplane. The way I do it is to survey the whole field and start leveling from highest point in field. Then when I need to run the slope in another direction I use Autoplane and adjust the direction of slope. That's the cheap way. Opti surface is much more efficient.
