Devils Lake, ND | Imposing a 25 percent tax on phosphorus, used as a fertilizer primarily on corn, could reduce soluble phosphorus concentrations in the watershed by about 8 percent, according to an analysis led by Brent Sohngen, professor in Ohio State’s Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics. The department is part of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
