Subject: Rye decomposition question

NW Missouri
I drilled some rye into corn stubble this year. A guy was telling me to terminate the rye a few weeks prior to planting with chemical. He said the decomposing rye will heat up and raise the soil temperature to make soybean emergence better when planted into it...as opposed to planting into the green rye and terminating with a roller or chemical afterwards. Which does everyone prefer to do? Either way, since it's annual rye, I'll be terminating it before it heads out, so it's just a matter of whether I'm ready to plant beans at that point or not..
