Do you have a very large loader? Something like a Cat 980. I ask because if you do then that is probably the best way to move a large tree. Dig around the tree with a backhoe and make a small ramp down to the bottom of what you would plan to take. You probably only need to go a little over 2' since that is where most of the roots are and then simply scoop the tree and roots up in the bucket and carry it to the new location and put it in place. I have helped my uncle move several large beach trees that way that were way to big for a tree digger and they hardly ever knew they were moved. Also make sure to use plenty of water, you realy can't get them to wet after they have been moved and keep watering them for at least a year or more if it is dry.
