Subject: RE: Root Pruning a tree for transplant

SC Wisconsin
Strangely enough, I just looked this up yesterday. I've got a 10 foot oak I'm going to try and move. The advice I saw was to root prune 6 months to a year before transplant. Had I known, I'd have root pruned it last year because I've been planning on moving it this fall for a while. I think I'm going to chance it anyway and just take an extra large root ball.
