If you could eventually go back to an established farm in order to keep the acres and the operation rolling, might be ok, but if you are going to start from scratch, I would forget it. Also, I have never seen anyone be to successful in the grain hauling business, just put groceries on the table and wears out your trucks. I know the big trucking guys in our area live on the lake and are buying farm land, but not the farmer doing some off season hauling, Eplant lines are really slow.
You have or will have degrees and if you have the skill and ambition to go with it, you are a hot item without investing another dime. Good help is hard to find
