My eldest son is getting married in a couple of weeks. He informed me I need to prepare for a reception speech. I have no clue what to say. I can't remember ever hearing the grooms father speak. FWIW this will be our first chance to meet the brides family. She's a Cali girl. Absolutely love her! Help!
Just get really drunk and let the booze do the talking.
Or just talk about how much you love both of them, and how you wish them a long, happy, successful life, and that there are gonna be good times, and some really dark days, and not to let the bad outweigh the good. Will not hurt to give her lots of compliments, even if she is from that foreign country California. |
