West Central Wisconsin
Went up to Superior this past weekend via Highway 53 and colors were about peak. Went to Pattison State Park south of Superior to see the 165 foot water falls. Nice short walk to the falls. http://www.travelwisconsin.com/campgrounds/pattison-state-park-2042... I believe you could take highway 35 along the Mississippi River all the way up to the park.

We noticed the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad Excursion Train on the way back to Chetek along Highway 53. http://www.travelwisconsin.com/tours/wisconsin-great-northern-railr... We will do this dinner tour next year at this time.

There is a meat shop we stopped at to sample some smoked trout, herring and whitefish that is worth the stop. It is Superior Meats and is right on Highway 35 as you come in to Superior from the south, maybe 20 minutes from Pattison. Joe
