You can mount tool boxes and fuel tank under some flat beds. I had an F350 with the bottom of a grain box that would have supplied plenty room under the bed outside the frame and in front of the wheels (duals) for those. I know there are tool boxes commercially made for that application. Fuel tank might have to be a bit more customized. One annoyance was that with the flat bed over the tires, it ends up too high for handy tossing seed sacks from the ground, or walking on to get stuff. Needs a ladder even more than the modern 4x4 pickup. The tool boxes on one side of a service box could probably be cut off and a fuel tank be built there to save the center for more general use.

I saw a place Sunday, I think in Armstrong IA, with lots of white trucks and service bodies separated. At least I'm sure it was on Iowa 9 in that vicinity.
