The problem with drying using solid or liquid fuels instead of LP or NG, is that there are solid combustion products that can contaminate the grain if they don't ignite the grain if the combustion products are used direct like LP or NG. So the heating system efficiency has to be compromised by using a heat exchanger which means not ALL the heat energy gets to the grain and the requires two air movers, one for the combustion process and one for the drying air.
