North Central Iowa
I used to fill a 20X50 in the fall with corn in the high teens to low twenties for moisture. I sealed it up, used the breather bag and forgot about it until summer. I'd pull it out in July, dry it, and feed it to hogs. It was good feed, but it smelled "pickled" even after it was dried. I'm sure there would be a discount but I never tried selling it since I could always use the feed.

It dried pretty easily in July due to the temperature, but it was a lot of work for no more than I gained. Basically when I was waiting for the dryer in the fall I would dump a few loads into the Harvestore so it was an extra place to dump corn so I could keep the combine moving. Since then I have made some improvements in dryers and quit raising hogs, so I haven't used the Harvestore's for several years. I rented them to the local elevator one year to store dry corn in, but they have since added additional storage as well so now they sit empty.
