Subject: Corn sprouting in shucks

northwest Missouri
After our 7 inch rain a few weeks ago, it rained down into the shucks on several acres of corn. The ears had not turned down. The ears held water and the bottom 6 rows or more has sprouted. Corn tests around 18%. What is the answer? Pick it and bin it or let it dry in the field so the sprout will break off when it is thrashed?
