I've never watched Dr. Oz, so I've got nothing to add about that.
But we had Roundup Ready soybeans, and now we have glyphosate resistant weeds.
What are Enlist beans going to do for us, except give us 2,4-D resistant weeds?
We already have 2,4-D resistant weeds. We had atrazine, and now we have atrazine resistant weeds. We had ALS herbicides, and now we have ALS resistant weeds. We used tillage, and now weeds germinate later than they used to. We rotated crops, and now we have rotation resistant rootworm. And so on. That's what Mother Nature does. GMO doesn't have a damn thing to do with it, other than it's simply a new tool to add to the toolbox.
Just why the hell so many people forget that weeds developed resistance long before RR came along is a mystery to me. No, everything was just hunky-dory until RR came along and invented "SUPERWEEDS".
