Subject: Sweet blossom yellow clover cover crop

Nunn CO
I plant yellow clover in with my Proso millet. We aim to plant last week of May/ first week of June. This year we had a unusually good stand. Planting rate 2-3 lbs/ acre. The clover usually doesn't start growing till later in the summer and doesn't really take off till after millet is swathed. The clover is a bi annual, it will make a some addition cover in the millet stubble but it really takes off in the early spring. Then plowed under into summer fallow.
