I'm not in favor of telling landlords your production costs. that might come back to bit you in a year with higher prices. Not what you want to hear, but I'm afraid that rents will not fall significantly until some landlords get stuck for no rent and they still have to let a bankrupt farmer operate (bankruptcy in progress) and the word of these types of things has to get out. I'd say offer what you can and let them decide. good luck

The people that say cost won't come down are wrong. Just in a different way. I've talked to a few guys that are putting NO p&k on. that cuts costs. Many will cut back 10-20% on fertilizer, that cuts costs. Heard that local dealer will sell out of non-gmo. that cuts costs. Many will plant 2-4000 lower populations. that cuts costs. Non-urgent repairs will be put on hold. (that will go another year, right) that cuts costs. All will have to made up long term, but for the immediate future not.
