How many acres? The extra cost, if only 20 acres, can be absorbed by the other acres you farm. If it's a considerable amount (10-15%) I would say let it go. It's really hard to let land go, but if you are guaranteed to lose money, seems like a no brainer to me, let it go. It hurts, but your in business to STAY in business. You can't stay in business if you plan to lose money. Just my take on it with the information given.
