| Agreed. I can understand the reasoning... having people make their names public tends to make them a bit more reasonable as it takes away the anonymity... keyword "tends". Unfortunately it looks like some like to take what should stay online and bring it into their public lives for them.
Granted, only the moderation here would really know whether requiring public names had a positive effect on the discussions. From what I glanced, it doesn't look like anything has really changed other than changing the name of the sub-forum from "Boiling Room" to "Trending Politics and Policy". | |
