Any opinions on this?  Tor is supposed to be an ultra private browser.  Some call it the criminal's browser because it is so hard for others to watch you. 


It's not perfect, but for those looking for anonymous browsing for whatever reason, it's one of the best (and easiest to use) tools out there.

Have to remember, though, that it is possible to tell that you're using Tor, even if they don't know who "you" are, and it only anonymizes the route to the site. In other words, if you use Tor to access the Yahoo! Mail login page, in theory no one can tell who is accessing the login page (because you're anonymous at that point), but if you then log in with your username "[email protected]", you've kind of defeated the purpose.

Tor stands for "The Onion Router", because it incorporates many layers of anonymization. But security/privacy extends beyond the browser itself, and the user has to fully understand the capabilities and limits of the software. Tor is only one component of anonymous internet use, not a magical comprehensive solution.
