Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | You plant a field of longer maturity group beans, say a 2.5-3.0 some time before planting field of shorter maturity group beans, say 0.9 to 1.2. In the fall you have an early frost when the shorter maturity group plot is already mature and senescing but the longer maturity group is still green. You might mistakenly believe that the beans that show the most damage had a higher yield but the higher yield was simply due to the fact that the longer maturity group bean had much longer to grow and produced more beans.
Shall be give him the benefit of the doubt or just condemn him out of hand?
