SC Iowa | The elevators are not holding onto any old crop beans.....IF they have ownership
there are large geographical differences across the US in how farmers approach grain ownership
farmers in the eastern half of the country have been comfortable over the years using DP contracts, whereas the western cornbelt farmers have tended to use more warehouse receipted methods of holding grain inventory.....
it appears we've been inspecting 8-10 million bushels each of the last two weeks for export, and crushing about 2.5--3.0 myn bushels per day the first half of September.........
some of our northern US friends might be able to tell us if many elevators in N Dakota have soybeans in store?? | |
