Faunsdale, AL
Allis Chalmers G with a belly mount bushcutter about 5' wide. I was about 8 and I stayed in first (SLOW) for an hour or two before someone put it in second for me. I was in a pasture with lots of small cedars in clumps and scattered around, so it was a challenge to keep from hitting anything or running up in one of the little groups of trees and not being able to steer back out somehow.

At that time it still had a functional overrunning clutch in the spindle of the mower, but later one of my cousins hit a stump with it and shattered that clutch, so it was locked up and then that thing wouldn't stop for anything! That mower spinning under there was a big flywheel belted directly to the PTO/wheels, so when you pushed in the clutch, it took a while to coast down unless you were actually cutting grass, then it would stop pretty quick.
