Subject: RE: Church closing

When the neighborhood church closed here about 50 years ago, the land and building went back to original landowner, eventually got in bad repair and was destroyed by the guy that bought it. As car's became easier to own,and women went to work in town they were able to afford nicer clothes. Needed a place to strut. You gonna strut you need a crowd to strut in front of , so it was off to the town church to strut and the little community churches died and are still still dying. A lot could have held on awhile but they felt the need for a preacher. Really, you got u a bible ain,t you. Have some singin an a group discussion. Might throw in a little Prayin there too. Most preacher's I have known was primarily interested in a check, free food and shall we say Servicing the ladies of the church if they willin. Exceptin of course the preacher of the local Babtist church here. I guess he kept turnin some of them ladies down, After about ten year's they figured out he was Queer and tossed his butt. Good luck on the church.
