If you are run like most, while they expect you to forward the offering, they also expect not to be bothered with things like heat bill, electric bill, etc.

So next meeting move that the insurance for members be paid out of the offering just like the other bills, you could even make it for everyone if you want.

Then just treat it like any other bill. If they question why giving is down just point out it's all those insurance bills they have you paying.

The whole thing is bogus anyway, our church policy covers all those things. Which would be the other option is just to ignore the big guys and buy your own congregational insurance policy. Yearly policy would be just a few hundred.
