NE IL | I guess this belongs in the "Kitchen Table"...or does it? Has anyone ever eaten corn smut, or as known in Mexican cuisine huitlacoche (WHEAT-la-coach-ay) aka Mexican Truffles?
Has anyone ever harvested any of their own infested ears? How would you feel about your neighbor accross the fence infecting his crop for this niche market "delicacy"?
I guess I would say I'm curious enough to try it, but prefer it to be grown as far far away from me as possible. Call me a NIMBY. | |
