go for it, first of all, your stipped soil is better then 20% of the farmers on here best soil. get a soil test and pour the nutrients it needs to it, and covercrop it for a full year or so and you will learn alot about soil from it. I say this under the understanding that you are buying it. if you are renting it then run.
