Well your fertilizer cost will be a lot less. Figure 100 bu/A and do not be disappointed if you do not see that.

IF the plant breeders were still selecting open pollinated corn the yields would be better but no one has looked at them for production in 50 years.

Save big time on fertilizer cost. Following years you can plant saved seed and develop your own line. Thing is all your neighbors will also be pollinating your corn so things may start looking a little funny.

Now $10/Bu might work, but it may not work at $18/bu.
