Nebraska aka the boondocks
I use the same strategy, or more like old habit, every year. I am a habitual forward contractor. I always like to be near the insurance levels at some point before harvest. And I am probably 25% sold, usually for the following year by this time, if the elevators will play. LDPs changed my life forever, lol... So I have no intention of giving away my extra bushels, at least until next year. Like a lot of other folks, I didn't like a lot of my sales for this year, now they look good and I "still don't like them."
