Subject: Fishing with the grandkids

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona
Our son, DIL & the twins were here yesterday & today for a short visit. Our son who was a diehard fisherman before started his own business & had kids wanted to go fishing in one of his old fishing ponds yesterday in one of our neighbors ponds. The pond we went to had a lot of moss close to the shore on the top side so we took the kids to the bottom side of the cement spillway that usually has small fish in it. Noah caught his first fish here in about one minute after throwing his line in, a little sunfish. He ended up catching a total of 5 for the day. His sister got two, his grandma caught one and his dad caught 2 nice bass on the top side of the pond. These were the first fish the twins actually caught & hauled in them selves. The wouldn't handle the fish but they had a great time. As you can tell by the pictures it was VERY muddy around the pond from the cattle paths. Needless to say they were just a tad muddy when we left :). I wish I had taken a picture of them afterwards.

We went boating today and Noah caught a small catfish. He got a little tired of it today as the fish weren't so hungry in this small lake. I guess you have to expect that of a 3 year old though.
It was fun to be there to experience their first successful fishing success.

Looks like you all had fun. Love the picture where your grandson was looking down the mouth of the fish.
