Hello Denny-O,

I agree with SteveG... overseeding into a dense bean canopy that does not start opening soon after CC germination is not likely to result in good results.

I also have concerns about including red clover in a mix with cereal rye... with the large difference in seed size and weight, I doubt that they will stay well mixed or have the same swath width when flown on ...and I doubt you will get enough clover growth under a rye canopy to make the investment in clover seed worthwhile.

A couple Qs for you:

What are your main objectives for trying a CC?

Do you have any corn that you could seed into ahead of beans?

Do you have a grain drill or vertical tillage tool?

Do you have an aerial applicator in your area who has experience with CC?

Do you know any farmers in your area that have experience with CC?
