I respectfully disagree with your reply. I said we raise raw materials . Did you address that? You are trying to disect the futures market. Back to what I said . How many people sit down at the dinner table to a plate of "raw" #2 yellow corn or "raw" soybeans? Society is changing and not necessarily for the best. They want value added--i.e. chicken nuggets at the fast food joint. How many want a whole chicken to cook at home? How many even know how to cook let alone cook from "scratch".

History repeats itself. There have always been cycles--up and down--good and bad. Supply vs demand.

The futures market isn't perfect , nothing ever is. What will you replace it (fut mkt) with?
